The Companion Program is a great way to meet others and take in all the region has to offer.

Wild River Adventure Tours

Sit back and enjoy a memorable day on the water!

This four-hour boat tour on the Wapiti and Smoky Rivers travels a region that is home to majestic stands of boreal forest and many different kinds of wildlife. BBQ lunch will be served on shore and transportation to the boat is provided.

Centre for Creative Arts Activity

Time to put those paintbrushes to work or explore the world of printmaking!

Express your creative self with acrylic painting, watercolour painting or printmaking on this artistic get-together. Learn a new technique or push your artistic limits with the help of a seasoned art instructor at the Centre for Creative Arts. Lunch and transportation to the Centre are provided.

Saskatoon Island Hike & Phillip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum Tour

Explore your inner naturalist and the wonder of Alberta's wildlife!

On this excursion, hike through one of the province's most beautiful natural areas at Saskatoon Island Provincial Park and Federal Migratory Bird Sanctuary. This adventure includes a lakeshore walk through aspen forest and Saskatoon shrub land at the edge of the Peace River Parkland, a natural sub-region that occurs only in northwestern Alberta. Lunch is provided at the Phillip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum followed by a tour.

Photography Activity

Want to snap that perfect photo?

Bring your own camera and spend a day with local professional photographer Sean Trostem to learn all about the many facets of photography and lighting and how to set up a picture for various subjects. Start your day in "the classroom" at the Pomeroy Hotel, then head out on a "field trip" into the breathtaking colours of fall in the community of Grande Prairie.

Grande Prairie Museum Tour

Connect with your inner historian at the Grande Prairie Museum!

On this tour learn about the natural and settlement history of the Grande Prairie area, including First Nations and Metis culture, railway development, local industries and stores and military history. Visit the Stones and Bones Gallery to see locally found fossils, the Pioneer Village to experience the settlers' life, and the City's oldest home, the Rev. Forbes Homestead and Pioneer Hospital.

Love to golf? Spend some quality time practicing your rive, swing, and putt at the Grande Prairie Golf and Country Club!
