Kenora, originally named Rat Portage, is a small city (a population of 15,841) that sits directly beside Lake of the Woods in Northwestern Ontario. It is a premier boating and fishing destination, connecting visitors to Lake of the Woods and its 14,522 islands. For those who would like to participate in the post-conference tour from Kenora to Thunder Bay, air travel will be available out of the Thunder Bay International Airport on September 19th. A shuttle bus will be available to transport post-conference tour participants from Thunder Bay to Kenora on Monday September 14th.
The City of Kenora also has a small airport with flights available through Bearskin Airlines.

Book your room at the conference venue! The Kenora Lakeside Inn has offered conference delegates a reduced rate of $124.00/night. Reservations must be made by June 30, 2015. To book, contact the Lakeside Inn (1-800-465-1120) and give them the group code ‘Forestry’.
