A North-American symposium on ecosystem-based management of hardwood forests will be held at the Université du Québec en Outaouais from the 13th to the 15th of May, 2008. This symposium, titled "Ecosystem-based Management of Tolerant Hardwood Forests: Its Implementation in a Context of Economic and Environmental Uncertainties" is organized by the Institut québécois d'Aménagement de la Forêt feuillue as an initiative of the Conférence régionale des Élus de l'Outaouais.
