The Northwestern Ontario Section of the Canadian Institute of Forestry presents:

Kiss Your Ash Goodbye? The Emerald Ash Borer Tour & Northwestern Ontario CIF AGM

This event is set to take place during National Forest Week on Wednesday, September 21.  The emerald ash borer tour will run from 4-6pm, and the Northwestern Ontario Section CIF AGM is to follow at 6:30pm. Meet us at Waverly Park at the base of the stairs to Lakehead University’s Law Building (previously PACI) where we will travel on foot to several stops, each with a speaker.  On this walk, speakers will address the following questions: what is the emerald ash borer, how did it get here, and what can we do? Following the tour there will be a food truck on site.

After the tour please join us for our AGM which will be held in PACI 3006 at Lakehead University.

Speakers Include:

Taylor Wright, Invasive Species Centre

Shelley Vescio, City of Thunder Bay

Vince Rutter, Rutter Urban Forestry
