The Cariboo Section captures Northern British Columbia. This is a vast area which stretches from the coastal rainforest regions of Prince Rupert to the Alberta border and up towards Yukon. While this is a sparsely populated region, the forestry community is vibrant and active. The section is largely based in Prince George.
The University of Northern British Columbia and the College of New Caledonia are within the Cariboo and the section hosts a ring ceremony every spring to present new forestry graduates with their CIF silver rings.
