Call for Posters!

Posters are now being accepted for the 2018 Poster Session

Interested in presenting a poster at the upcoming CIF-IFC 110th AGM and Conference?
Submit your abstract by August 31, 2018 - more information below!

The Poster Symposium will be held on September 19, 2018 from 4:30-5:30pm at the Pomeroy Hotel & Conference Centre Grande Prairie.

Whether you are a student or a researcher, you are welcome to submit an abstract to present a poster to share your research. Priority will be given to students, but all abstracts will be considered on a first-come first-serve basis. This poster session will provide an excellent opportunity to share your research, learn something new from a fellow poster presenter, and discuss findings with professionals who may have experience or insight into the issues presented.

Abstracts should be related to the theme of the conference, “Sustaining Resources and Enhancing Communities: By Looking Back and Going Forward.”, preferably encompassing at least one of the four pillars (community, wildlife, land & forest management planning, and site restoration).

If you would like to present a poster, please submit an abstract according to the guidelines below:

Abstract Guidelines
  • Abstracts should be 150-250 words and show a connection to the above-mentioned pillars

  • Include title, authors, affiliations

  • Research should be original and can be complete or in progress

  • Abstracts should include rational for study, clear objectives, methods, results (or statement of expected results for incomplete work), and conclusion

Note: Abstracts will appear in the Conference Program that will be available to all Conference delegates.
