2019 Student/Young Professional Sessions

Again this year, various student/young professional focused events will take place at the 2019 CIF-IFC Conference in Pembroke, Ontario!

Mentorship Program

The Mentorship program aims to build intergenerational connections between experienced CIF-IFC members and students/young professionals attending the 2019 CIF-IFC Conference. This program is a great way to meet other forest practitioners and grow your professional network of contacts!

Students/Young Professionals:

  • Students registered for the Conference will be automatically placed in this program as mentees and will be paired with an experienced mentor (a connection will be made between mentees and mentors closer to the Conference date).
  • Young professionals who wish to participate as a mentee can also sign up upon registration.

  • For those willing to participate as mentors, simply click the checkbox indicating you would like to participate in the Mentorship program when you register for the Conference.

Professional Development Forum

Calling all students and young professionals!

A student focused Professional Development Forum will also take place at part of the Conference itinerary on Sunday, October 6 from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Stay tuned for more details on this session!

Student Quiz Bowl

Don't miss out on this long-standing CIF-IFC Conference tradition!

The Student Quiz Bowl is a fun and friendly academic competition, challenging the participants’ (and audience’s!) forestry knowledge. This event will take place on Sunday, October 6 from 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
