Commercial Thinning Demonstration

This is an opportunity to see commercial thinning in action! Join CIF – Rocky Mountain Section to see a live commercial thinning demonstration with a harvester and forwarder. Vanderwell Contractors will provide an overview of their commercial thinning operations and then we will have the opportunity to see the equipment and harvesting in action. This event will take place south of Kinuso at the end of the Swan River Road. Participants will be responsible for getting to the site and providing their own PPE (hard hat, vest, boots, safety glasses).

• Event time: 10am – 2pm, presentation at 11am, lunch will be served at noon (Mountain Time)

• Event target audience: Foresters, particularly in the Slave Lake, Whitecourt and High Prairie region
• Event cost: $20 per participant
