Emerging Technologies in Forestry

The CIF-IFC Rocky Mountain Section is hosting a fall technical session!

Forest practitioners in Alberta were early adopters in using lidar in forest management, so there are no reasons to think that we won’t embrace the next round of emerging technologies, ranging from artificial intelligence to big data to using tree DNA. The upcoming in-person CIF-RMS Technical Session, on November 24, 2022, will highlight how these emerging technologies can be used to take us to the next level in forest management in Alberta.
