“Walk in the Woods” Tour Guide Opportunities

Sign up to be a tour guide for elementary school students in the Prince George area during National Forest Week (NFW). The Cariboo Section of the CIF-IFC and the ABCFP are celebrating NFW (Sept 22nd to 27th, 2025) by offering an opportunity for students and the general public to participate in a “Walk in the Woods” tour.

This very popular annual event has always been supported by volunteer tour guides and we are calling for volunteers for this year’s event. We need a minimum of 30 tour guides for the school tours (six guides per day; Sept 22nd to 26th). Also, 8-10 additional guides will be needed for the public tour and complimentary lunch on Saturday Sept 27th.

If you live in or around Prince George, Vanderhoof, Mackenzie or Quesnel and would like to help hundreds of children and members of the public have a positive experience in a forest environment, please volunteer.

Note: Tour guide training will be provided for those wanting it during the week prior to National Forestry Week.
