LAKE OF THE WOODS
About The Section
Lake of the Woods Section
The Lake of the Woods (LOW) Section is primarily composed of folks that directly work or have worked in the forest whether in industry, consulting, support industry or government agencies. They are the people on the ground, doing the work. The LOW geographically encompasses Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Kenora, Ignace, Fort Francis, and Dryden. The distance between members, while a challenge, provides an opportunity to get together and feel connected. The dedicated members have pulled together to host the CIF AGM on more than one occasion.
Our Objectives
- Providing an opportunity to feel connected to others in forestry
- Providing learning opportunities, social opportunities and to provide community outreach
What We Do
We facilitate events, field tours and technical sessions, support the industry growth in the LOW area, and share information.
