About The Section
The Vancouver Island Section of the CIF-IFC covers coastal British Columbia and includes members on Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast, and Haida Gwaii.
We gratefully acknowledge the dozens of Indigenous traditional territories in which we live, learn, work, and play and strive to honour these peoples in our work.
Our objective is to promote sustainable forestry and develop connections between forestry professionals to bring forestry issues to light and develop solutions together.
The CIF-IFC Vancouver Island Section Council has a diverse set of members from across our region who meeting monthly to plan and facilitate events, highlight significant issues and achievements in forestry, disseminate innovative information, engage in learning opportunities, and support networking and mentorships between students and accredited forest professionals.
Each council member has a two-year term, to which they can re-apply for a seat once their term is up. Contact us if you are interested in being a member or have questions regarding roles/responsibilities.
