Malgré des lois, des règlementations et des politiques parmi les plus complètes et les plus rigoureuses en matière d’aménagement forestier durable, et malgré le fait qu’il possède le plus grand nombre de forêts certifiées au monde, le secteur forestier canadien est souvent mal compris ou mal représenté dans les médias. L’Institut s’efforce de rétablir la vérité en prenant la parole et en défendant l’aménagement forestier durable de classe mondiale au Canada en répondant aux documents, rapports et campagnes qui représentent de manière inexacte les pratiques d’aménagement forestier et de gestion des ressources naturelles au Canada.
