Certification Standards Officer

The Certification Standards Officer (CSO) is responsible for the co-ordination, implementation, monitoring, and improvement of forest certification systems and safety across BCTS. The CSO must ensure the alignment of the BCTS program with provincial programs through the employment of leadership and influence skills. This position is the primary contact for internal and third-party forest certification audits to evaluate adherence to and the performance of, prescribed standards and processes.

Stewardship Forester

The position bridges environmental, social, and economic disciplines of natural resource management to advance caribou recovery and engages directly with First Nations and interested parties to that end. Developing lasting partnerships with First Nations and interested parties is key to ensuring a shared responsibility for caribou recovery across the province. The position will be responsible for applied conservation biology and supports collaborative planning tables and public engagement. The position is a member of the provincial Caribou Recovery Program Planning Initiatives Team and will be responsible for projects that support the goals of the program.
