Regional Vice President, Ontario

Expiry Date: March 15, 2024

Location: Hybrid, flexible. Candidate must reside in Ontario (Toronto headquarters)

Salary: $145,000 to $165,000

The Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) is looking for a Regional Vice President, Ontario, to join a team committed to protecting our most important natural areas that sustain all life. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Operations the leadership position of Regional Vice President (RVP), Ontario, is an integral member of the Senior Management Team (SLT) and the Operations Leadership Team (OLT) and works closely with a Regional Advisory Board.  The RVP, Ontario, is responsible for providing leadership, direction and guidance for all Ontario regional staff and operational activities to advance NCC’s organizational objectives within the Ontario region. A competitive compensation package including base salary (range between $145,000 to $165,000) and encompassing benefits will be provided.

Operations Technologist

Location: Multiple Locations, BC

Salary: $67,728.87 - $77,012.22 annually, plus $39.85 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Burns Lake; $36.53 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Smithers; $39.85 bi-weekly isolation allowance for Houston.

Employer: Ministry of Forests, Government of British Columbia

The Operations Technologist is responsible for developing operating standards, implementing new forest management practices, contract management, coordinating technical activities, monitoring adherence to legislative and environmental standards and providing technical expertise to staff in one or more of the following areas: tenure development, road and block layout, silviculture, timber tenure administration and forestry contract administration.
This position can be based out of any of the following locations: Burns Lake, Houston, or Smithers, BC.

Professor and Lecturer Positions in Indigenous Land Stewardship

The Faculty of Forestry at the UBC Vancouver campus is delighted to announce that we will be hiring several new faculty members to join the existing team at the new Centre of Indigenous Land Stewardship (CILS). A number of different positions are available, including sessional lecturer, lecturer, tenure-track professor of teaching (all ranks), and tenure-track professor (all ranks). The lecturer positions may be full or part-time. These positions are available across the Faculty of Forestry: the appointments will be made in whichever is the most appropriate of the Departments of Forest Resources Management, Forest and Conservation Sciences, or Wood Science, depending on the expertise of the individuals. Applicants should demonstrate to the Search Committee their experience of working with or for Indigenous communities.

Forest Technologist
