Forester

The McLeod Lake Mackenzie Community Forest (MLMCF) is based in Mackenzie BC and oversees the management and stewardship of 26,322 hectares in the Mackenzie TSA under the K2M Community Forest Agreement with an annual allowable cut of 38,500m3. At this time the community forest is in need of a second forester to assist with the management of the K2M tenure and delivery of community forest programs. Working directly with the General Manager the successful applicant’s responsibilities will be varied but focused heavily on coordination and oversight of operational activities from timber development and silviculture to road construction and harvesting. Wildfire fuel management planning and implementation will also be a significant component of their role.

FTELP Forest Technologist

A fantastic opportunity for recent graduates to jump-start their forestry careers in beautiful Northern British Columbia! In these full-time regular BC Timber Sales positions, participants of the Forest Technologist Entry Level Program (FTELP), will gain hands-on experience in all areas of forest technology, paid training and professional development, focused mentorship and support, and assistance obtaining their RFT or RPF designations. Over the two-year training period of the FTELP, participants will work from learning to independently performing a variety of technical and operational duties to support the planning, engineering, and reforestation activities of the Timber Sales Office.

Senior Aquatic Ecosystems Biologist (Aquatic Ecosystems Team Lead)

Sustainability Forester

Woodlands Supervisor

The Woodlands Supervisor leads and supervises a team of forest professionals and contractors that may be responsible for activities such as planning, developing, harvesting, access and silviculture within field teams or functional teams depending on how the business area is structured. The position is the expense authority and manages the budget for the teams. The position may be the face of BC Timber Sales in the communities where there are field teams. The responsibilities of the position and the team members they supervise will vary according to the mixture of geographic, social, economic and timber issues. The position is accountable for ensuring that all operational and contractual activities meet legislative and certification standards (EMS/SFM/SAFE).

Senior Authorizations Tech
