On February 24th, 2017, the CIF, in partnership with the Newfoundland & Labrador Environmental Industry Association, Resource Innovations Inc., and in collaboration with the Greater Corner Brook Board of Trade and ACAP Humber Arm hosted a successful workshop on UAV/UAS in the Natural Resources Sector in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. The workshop took place at the Corner Brook Civic Centre and was well attended with 70 participants. A special thank you to the CIF Newfoundland and Labrador Section for helping facilitate this workshop.

Professionals from diverse fields including forestry, energy, environmental monitoring, agriculture and wildlife sectors delivered presentations on the use of drones in natural resource planning.
