2019 Adaptive Silviculture for Climate Change in the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Forest
WORKSHOP
On July 16th, 2019, the CIF, and FPInnovations in association with Natural Resources Canada, Colorado State University and the US Forest Service hosted a successful workshop on “Adaptive Silviculture for Climate Change in the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Forest” in Pembroke, Ontario.
The workshop examined recent findings in climate science and an overview of climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies from a silvicultural perspective. This meeting was a precursor for a planned long term research study at the Petawawa Research Forest.
A special thanks to the CIF Algonquin Section and Friends of the Petawawa Research Forest for their financial support to make this event possible.
